Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District's Athletic Facilities Maintenance Department is preparing for the final phase of our skate ramp replacement project at the Howard M. Terpenning Complex. This project includes replacement of the three remaining wood ramps. Once complete, all ramps at the park will have been converted to concrete over the last three years.
After collaborating with members of the local skateboard community we have developed three design options that fit within the limits of our capital replacement guidelines. The guidelines allow us to replace and convert the ramps to concrete, yet they must remain in the same general footprint and serve a similar purpose as the previous wood ramps.
We are now at the point where we need your help in determining which ramp design will be used. Please take a look at the following possibilities and place your vote for which option you feel best fits the flow of the existing park.
Your feedback is important to us and will help guide our decision making. We anticipate the project starting this winter, with an estimated completion date of spring 2018. Please send any additional comments to thenning@thprd.org
Online voting concluded Monday, October 16, 2017. Results will be announced soon.
