Garden Home Recreation Center
Garden Home was built in 1912 and originally constructed as a school. In fact, the school's original 1912 bell is still located at the center. In 1986, THPRD purchased the building (which had undergone many changes over the years) and gave it the present name.
Our mission is to provide recreational programs and classes of the highest quality that are affordable, accessible and safe. The classes and programs we offer are intended to enrich your life, stimulate your mind, incorporate fun and creativity, and develop confidence, self-worth, health and well-being.
The center is an access point to the historic Oregon Electric Railroad section of the Fanno Creek Trail. Parking is available.
Public Notice: Garden Home Recreation Center is having the building's siding replaced. The project is estimated to run from mid-May though August 2013. The project could impact parking in the main parking lot during regular business hours, Monday-Friday. For more details, please call 503/629-6341.

Garden Home Recreation Center is located in the Southeast corner of THPRD boundaries, at 7475 SW Oleson Rd. in Portland.

Building Hours:
Monday-Friday: 5:30 a.m.-10 p.m.
Friday: 5:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m. (effective 8/2/13)
Saturday: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Sunday: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Office Hours:
Monday-Friday: 5:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Sunday: 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Showers will close at 9:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
