THPRD's steering committees participate in discussions, review plans, and provide broad feedback on park district programs, facilities, and parks. The steering committee also provides oversite to new program proposals.

Champions Too Steering Committee
In developing plans for Mountain View Champions Park, THPRD formed a Champions Too Steering Committee composed of representatives from over 20 disability service organizations.
The Champions Too Steering Committee consists of representatives from regional nonprofit organizations and providers serving people with disabilities. Members of the Steering Committee include:

Committee members played an integral role in ensuring the park is inclusive for people of all abilities. THPRD continues to collaborate with this committee to create diverse programming for children and adults experiencing disabilities.
