Weigh in on THPRD capital improvements
Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District is in the process of creating a master list of capital improvement projects. This list identifies development projects needed throughout the district.
These projects -- which could include development of new parks, trails and fields or expansion of existing facilities -- are eligible for funding from the district’s system development charges (SDCs). SDCs (one-time fees imposed on new or redeveloped residential and commercial construction) are designed to provide a system for new construction to contribute to the cost of building new parks, trails, and recreation facilities.
To facilitate public involvement on prioritizing capital improvement projects, THPRD will host two neighborhood meetings:
- Wednesday, Jan. 13 at Fanno Creek Service Center (6 pm -- Sequoia Room)
- Thursday, Jan. 21 at Howard M. Terpenning Complex (6 pm -- Dryland Training Center)
At each meeting, THPRD will present its proposed master project list, respond to questions and request feedback to help guide the project prioritization for the next five years (as funding is available).
Feedback can also be provided through an online Project Prioritization Survey. The input received will help advise the board of directors as they consider and approve a final Systems Development Charge Capital Improvement Project List.
