Proposal to name field at Cedar Hills Park

Bruce Dalrymple was a visionary and influential community leader whose service to THPRD spanned more than 20 years, including 10 years as a member of the district's Board of Directors (1997-2006).

THPRD staff have considered ideas to recognize the contributions of Dalrymple, who passed away in 2010 at the age of 58.

Soon, a park redevelopment project will begin at Cedar Hills Park. THPRD is proposing that the site's yet-to-be-constructed athletic field be named Bruce S. Dalrymple Athletic Field in Dalrymple's honor.

This proposal applies only to naming of the athletic field, not the entire park, which will remain Cedar Hills Park.

We are now gathering public input on this proposal. A decision will then be made whether to present the idea to the THPRD Board of Directors for consideration.
