Board appoints Stephen Pearson to budget committee
January 17, 2013
Stephen Pearson has been appointed to a three-year term on the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District Budget Committee.
A retired senior financial analyst for Portland Parks & Recreation, Pearson was named to the seat formerly held by Ruth Rosimo. The THPRD Board of Directors made the appointment at their regular monthly meeting on Jan. 14.
This is Pearson's second appointment to a THPRD committee. He has served on the district's Parks Bond Citizen Oversight Committee since its formation in 2009 and will continue in that role.
The Budget Committee generally meets three times a year and is responsible for providing public oversight of budget preparations, recommending changes to the proposed budget, and informing the public about district business and operations.
The 10-member committee includes all five THPRD board members and five citizen members. Each member must live within Park District boundaries.
