Trail construction will close portion of Westside Trail
The Westside to Waterhouse Trail connection is a bond-funded project to connect the Waterhouse Trail to the Westside Trail.
After years of collaboration with our partner agencies, this project is now entering the construction phase. Construction of the new trail segment is scheduled to begin Spring 2016 with completion anticipated to occur in late Fall 2016.
The project will require the temporary closing of a 0.5 mile segment of the Westside Trail from SW Millikan Way north to the Tualatin Hills Nature Park entrance near the Tadpole Ponds. This area will be used as the primary construction vehicle access point. This closure is tentatively scheduled to begin April 21, 2016.
The Oak Trail within the Tualatin Hills Nature Park provides an alternative path for trail users, but please note that pets are prohibited on the Oak Trail for the protection of wildlife at the Tualatin Hills Nature Park.
Additional signs will be posted prior to any changes in the alternative Oak Trail path or if additional closures are needed during the construction period. For safety reasons, please keep out of the construction area.
Thank you for your patience during construction of the Westside to Waterhouse Trail Connection.
