THPRD and Outdoor Skate Parks

THPRD is discussing a potential partnership with the Portland Winterhawks to build an indoor ice rink at the HMT Complex. Members of the biking & staking community have expressed concern about the future of our outdoor skate park (aka “The Tron”), which is located where the rink would possibly be built if the project moves forward.

We invite Tron users, parents and other concerned citizens to join us at a public meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 6. We’d love to engage in conversation about our commitment to outdoor skate parks, alleviate your concerns and hear your ideas about how to best provide skating and biking amenities of interest to teens and young adults.

Note: The Dryland meeting room is located along the breezeway between the Aquatic Center and the Administration office.
