Stuhr Center seeks donations for annual fundraiser
The Elsie Stuhr Center is THPRD’s only recreation center dedicated solely to meeting the recreational, intellectual, social and physical needs of residents over the age of 55.
Every fall, this tight-knit community hosts the Harvest Bazaar Sale-a-bration, an annual fundraiser that helps support Stuhr Center programs. The entire building is transformed into a giant showcase of second-hand treasures, which are made available for sale to the public for two days each fall.
THPRD encourages residents to support this annual fundraiser (and clear out clutter!) by donating gently-used items, including home goods, jewelry, antiques, clothing, collectibles, sporting goods, garden items, toys and holiday décor to be sold at the Harvest Bazaar. Donations are tax deductible, it helps this community thrive and items are greatly appreciated by the community members and volunteers that take such pride in hosting this event.
Donations are now being accepted at the Stuhr Center every Monday-Saturday, from 9 am-4 pm, until Sept. 2. The annual Harvest Bazaar is Thursday, Sept. 8 (9 am-4 pm) and Friday, Sept. 9 (8 am – 6:30 pm). For more information, call 503-629-6342.
Unfortunately, the Stuhr Center cannot accept the following items: console/large TVs or stereos, mattresses/box springs, large appliances, computer equipment, toilet/shower seats, Christmas lights or trees, broken or damaged items.
