Stuhr Center holiday party will celebrate building's namesake
Elsie Stuhr Day, a holiday party that honors the countless contributions of the district’s most celebrated founder, will take place on Dec. 16 at the community center named in her honor.
The 13th annual event, at the Elsie Stuhr Center (5550 SW Hall Blvd.) will include gifts, refreshments, THPRD trivia and performances from the Beaverton High School Carolers and the Pilgrim Lutheran School Hand Bell Choir. Admission is $5 for the event, which takes place from 1:30-3:30 pm.
"This is a special event for us because it celebrates one of our founders, Elsie Stuhr, who improved the lives of so many people with her dedication to health and wellness and the community,” said Karin Madsen, program coordinator at the center.
Elsie Stuhr Day is open to anyone 55 and older. Guests are encouraged to pre-register by calling 503-629-6342.
