THPRD is making plans to remove an aging playground from Burntwood Park. This park is located along the Westside Trail, south of Mt. Williams, in the south end of the park district.

This playground, which is about 30 years old, is in a state of disrepair and no longer meets the current safety standards of the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The structure is now closed and fenced, pending its permanent removal, to ensure the safety of our guests.

The Park District will explore options for relocation or replacement in the future. A meeting is scheduled on December 10, 10 am - noon, for further discussion and public input.
