Parks & Trails > Bauman Woods Natural Area
Bauman Woods Natural Area is a seven-acre natural area in the Raleigh Hills neighborhood, located on SW Oleson Rd. just up the road from Garden Home Recreation Center.
A future connection will make Bauman Woods Natural Area accessible from the neighborhood to the west, via SW Willowmere Dr.
Vermont Creek flows from the east into the natural area, merging with Fanno Creek as it heads toward the Tualatin River.
Natural Resources staff recently removed invasive plants from the natural area and planted native species. A gravel trail has been completed through the eastern edge of the park.
The trail starts at the end of Old Oleson Road (which dead ends at the northern edge of the park) and meanders through the woods to the southeast corner of the park near Vermont Creek.
