Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District

Natural Area Parks

THPRD's Natural Resources staff care for a wide variety of habitats throughout the Park District, including evergreen forests with towering Douglas-fir trees, sunny meadows filled with young Oregon white oaks, wetlands and stream corridors. Staff are in charge of conservation planning, weed removal, extensive native plant installation projects, wildlife management and other tasks. Volunteers play a vital role in supporting the efforts of staff and actually participate in the vast majority of the on the ground efforts in our natural areas.
