Preschool Age - Parent & Child Participation Classes
Munchkin Soccer, Basketball and T-ball
Join your child for some sport-specific skills. This parent/child class has an emphasis on teamwork, fair play and fun. Put on those tennis shoes and get ready to have fun with your little one. Parent participation is required.
Munchkin Sports
Join your child for some sports fun in basketball, soccer, football, T-ball and more. Play at an individual pace while working on large motor skills. The instructor provides skill guidance to parents. Parent participation is required.
Munchkin Tumblers
Here is a chance for your child to exercise his or her large motor skills. Movement explored and developed through obstacle courses to increase coordination, strength and balance. Parent participation is required.
Start Smart
This parent/child program was developed by the National Alliance for Youth Sports. The program teaches parents how to prepare their children to enter the world of organized sports by teaching them fundamental motor skills such as throwing, catching, kicking and batting. Using age-appropriate equipment to conduct fun exercise, children learn from their parents the basic skills to help them succeed. Parent participation is required.
Family Tennis
Bring your family to this tennis class where child and parent learn and play together. Basic intro Level 1 class. Parent participation is required. (Daniel)
Tumble with Me or Munchkin Tumbling
Parents, join your child in this introduction to gymnastics. Focus is on floor work, building strength, flexibility and coordination using tumbling mats, balance beam, trampoline and cheese wedge. Parent participation is required.
Family Dragons
This Martial Arts class teaches balance, coordination, strength and skills. Children learn safety awareness, self discipline, respect and more. Class is designed for parent and school-aged children. (Yoshifumi)
Imagination Yoga
Introduce your active child to the benefits of yoga as they build strength, balance and concentration through this fun and imaginative class. A certified Imagination Yoga Facilitator takes a class of children on grand adventures as they imagine Yoga in the Castle, the Jungle, in Outer Space, with the Dinosaurs, under the Sea and on the Farm. Your child will learn 40+ Yoga poses and find great concentration, relaxation and body awareness through visualization, breath, movement and music. (Imagination Yoga)
Preschool Age - Child-Only Classes
Kid's Sport
Kids get a kick out of this class! All kinds of sports will be played, basketball, soccer, T-ball and more. Kids should leave class tired but happy.
Soccer
This class has lots of movement leading up to games. Skills to be taught include dribbling, trapping, passing and more. Shin guards recommended.
Basketball
In this class, your little one works on catching, dribbling, passing and shooting a basketball. Positive attitude, fair play and fun will be emphasized.
T-Ball
Come work on T-ball basics: throwing, catching and hitting off a tee. This class will also work on base running, T-ball basic rules and more.
Tennis for Tiny Tots
Tiny tot tennis offers small group classes for the child to learn to play tennis. Basic intro Level 1 class. (Daniel)
Lil Dragon Self-Defense
This Martial Arts class teaches balance, coordination, strength and skills in simple, fun drills and games. Children learn safety awareness, self-discipline, respect and more. (Yoshifumi)
Toddler Exercise
It's never too early to enjoy exercising. Wave your arms, wiggle your hips while enjoying movement and music. This fast-pace class focuses on listening and coordination. Parent participation is required.
Tumbling
This fun class offers an introduction to gymnastics with an emphasis on floor work fundamentals. Roll away down tumbling mats and build strength, flexibility and coordination using tumbling mats, balance beam, trampoline and cheese wedge.
Tumbling & More
Continue to build strength, flexibility and coordination using balance beams, trampolines, cheese wedge and tumbling mats. This class will help your child progress towards cartwheels, handstands, bridge kick over and more.
Sport Leagues
Soccer, T-ball, Flag Football and Basketball
Be part of a recreational sports team. Enjoy 30 minutes of skill activity practice and 30-60 minutes of game time each week (game time depends on age and league). Team T-shirts included.
Baseball League - Ages 6-7. Coach pitch. Season is June through mid-July
Basketball League - Ages 4-6. Season is December through January
Flag Football League - Ages 6-8. Season is September through October
Soccer League - Ages 3-5. Season is mid-July through June
T-Ball League - Ages 3-5. Season is June through mid-July

Flag Football
Come enjoy the fun of flag football while learning the basics of throwing, catching, running plays and working as a team. Students will scrimmage throughout and practice all aspects of the game.
Soccer Skills
Intro to the fundamentals and proper techniques of soccer. The emphasis in this class is on teamwork, fair play and fun! Shin guards recommended.
Basketball, Girls
Join us as we have a fun time playing games and learning the techniques and rules of the game. This class is great for beginners. We will work on dribbling, shooting, passing and team play through fun games and drills. (Nancy)
Scrimmage Basketball
Come do warmups, run a few drills, get lots of game time. This class is for players who want to work on situations and their skills.
Basketball Hoops
This class works on instruction of beginning basketball skills. Ball control and the basics of passing, dribbling, shooting and footwork will be covered.
Fencing - Sabre
This dynamic Olympic sport teaches mental preparation, agility, speed, and quick reflexes. Ideal individual sport. All equipment provided. (Oregon Fencing Alliance)
Tennis Basics
This introductory class is for individuals who are new to tennis or are starting to play after a prolonged layoff. (Daniel)
Tennis Rally
This is for the tennis player who has taken a minimum of two Level 1 classes and is ready to rally! (Daniel)

Karate- Beginning
Shorin-Ryu is a self-defense oreinted, traditional Okinawan Karate style. Learn the basic blocks, punches, kicks and breakfall techniques. Course is a great continuation to Conestoga's Little Dragons martial arts class. (Marilyn)
Baseball - the Mechanics of Hitting
Get ready for next season by learning to improve your swing through practice, repetition, strength and training. Develop your swing to get on base more often. Bunting also will be covered. (Andy)
Baseball - the Mechanics of Fielding & Throwing
Improve your defensive skills through proper mechanics from footwork to finishing your throw. Work on ground balls, pop flies, and throwing accurately to get outs. Infielders, outfielders and catchers are welcome so bring your gear! (Andy)
Baseball Hitting Clinics
Develop and strengthen your swing for the season. Instruction starts with the stance. Learn the importance of balance and posture. Great opportunity for young players to develop a good swing. Bunting also will be covered. (Andy)

Teen Fit, Strength & Conditioning
This fitness program will motivate you to continue a healthy lifestyle. Gain endurance, strength, self-estem, an knowledge in this well-rounded program. Class will include some weight-training, cardio conditioning all in a positive and welcoming atmosphere. (Frank / Desiree)
Tween / Teen Yoga
Combine conscious breathing with simple movements to lengthen, strengthen
and imporve your flexibility. Focus will be on breathing, proper alignment and mind/body awareness to create calm and balance on and off the mat. (Shelly)
Volleyball
Basic fundamentals of volleyball. Bump, pass, and serve your way to an improved game. Inductory level classes and competitive skill based play are available.
Sports Instructors
Oregon Fencing Alliance
(OFA) is a high energy fencing club devoted to promotion of fencing in Oregon. Under the tutelage of Master Ed Korfanty, OFA has achieved remarkable success in building a world class fencing program. Conestoga is proud to have Oregon Fencing Alliance partnership to bring beginning fencing classes to our community. Yoshifumi Ito - Karate (Lil Dragons)
Yoshifumi has an Anthropology degree from the University of Utah and a Oriental Medicine degree from Meiji College of Oriental Medicine. He began studying karate in elementary school and resumed serious practice when he turned 18. After three years of intensive training and working as an assistant instructor, Yoshifumi came to the U.S. in 1987 and joined the Shiseikai Karate Organization. Yoshifumi is a licensed acupuncturist and has a wife and two children.
Marilyn Mays - Karate
Marilyn is a black belt in Okinawan Karate and has been studying karate for 15 years. She was eager to start teaching as soon as possible, and has been doing so for 13 years in Oregon. She began by offering lessons in different schools and working with children’s groups such as Girl Scouts and Camp Fire. She teaches karate at Conestoga and Cedar Hills.
Frank Moon - Sports Instructor
Frank has worked at Conestoga Recreation and Aquatic Center for over 6 years. While at Conestoga Frank has work in a variety of areas including; sports instructor, sports camp coordinator, and most recently over the past year as a group fitness instructor. Prior to working at Conestoga Frank played three years of college baseball before earning his degree from the University of Oregon. Frank also coaches varsity baseball at Beaverton High School.
