Camps

Registration is open for 2010 summer camps. Some weeks are still available.

Camp Conestoga

Need a place where your kids can create, explore, make new friends and have fun this winter break? Well ... discover Camp Conestoga. Field trip scheduled weekly. Bring swimsuit and towel, lunch and drink.

Location: Rooms 202-203
Time: 7:15 a.m.-6 p.m.
Days: Monday through Friday
Dates: Each week from June 15 to Aug. 28.
Ages: 6-12 (must be in at least first grade)

Deposit option (only for summer camps with notation that a deposit option is available): A $25 non-refundable deposit is required for all participants for each week at the time of registration. The balance is due two weeks prior to the start of each camp. If the balance is not received by Monday at noon two weeks prior to the start of camp, your deposit and reservation will be forfeited.

Summer camp refund policy: Refunds are granted, less the deposit, only to requests made two weeks prior to the start of camps.

Preschool Summer Day Camps

Conestoga Otter Camp

Children have a "splashing" fun time with daily trips to our pool, art projects, games, gym and outdoor activities from 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. This Monday-through-Friday camp is held weekly from June 22 through August 14. For ages 4-6. Bring your swimsuit and towel each day.

Pals Sports Camps

Play and learn skills in a fun half-day sport camp, which focuses on play and discovery as 4-6-year-olds explore a variety of sports skills, games, teamwork and fair play. Sessions run weekly June 22 through Aug. 14, from 1-4 p.m. each day.

School Age Summer Day Camps

Camp Conestoga and
Camp Conestoga, Too

Need a safe place where your kids can create, explore, make new friends and have fun this summer? Well ... discover Camp Conestoga (ages 6-9) and Camp Conestoga, Too (ages 9-12) from 7:15 a.m. to 6 p.m.

What Do We Do At Camp?

  • Create with a variety of arts and crafts and cooking activities.
  • Explore with science, outdoor walks & personal choice activities.
  • Challenge yourself with activities that are flexible and fun with new friends.
  • Find adventure with daily swimming, games, sports, a field trip.
  • Have fun with camp staff that enjoy working with kids!

Be sure to bring a sack lunch and drink, swimsuit and towel each day. Camp is offered every week during the summer.

For The Older Camper

X-Treme Camp

Drop off and pick up at Conestoga Rec & Aquatic Center. For ages 11-14 who need great adventure (and supervision). Each week's activities include arts and crafts, games, sports, swimming, field trips and much more. Bring a sack lunch and drink, swimsuit and towel each day. Field trips are determined weekly by the participants. Daily field trips each morning and full day field trip on Thursday. Camp runs from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. Pre-camp and post-camp care available with "Extra Innings." Camp is offered the first 10 weeks of the summer.

Conestoga Extra Innings

We will again be offering before and after-camp care (7:15-9 a.m. and/or 4-6 p.m.). Transportation provided to other Conestoga camps. Cost: $20 per week for morning session (Monday-Friday). $25 per week for afternoon session (Monday-Friday)

Sports Camps

Team Sports Action Camp

(Ages 7-12) For the child interested in learning more about team sports. Participants will play a variety of sports each week: football, volleyball, basketball, lacrosse and soccer. Sports will vary week to week. Daily schedule includes: 9 a.m.-noon, skills and technique; noon-1 p.m., lunch and down time; 1-2:30 p.m., swimming; and 2:30-3:45 p.m., scrimmage. Bring sack lunch, water bottle, swimsuit and towel daily. You may combine this program with Extra Innings to extend your day.

Sport-Specific Camps

The following sport-specific camps offer your child a chance to play a lot of their favorite sport or to learn a new one. Skill practice and technique instruction from 9 a.m. to noon followed by lunch, swimming, games, snacks and then scrimmage the last hour of camp. Each camp runs from 9 a.m.-3:45 p.m., so be sure to bring a swimsuit and towel, lunch with drink, proper sneakers and a water bottle. Any of these camps may be combined without Extra Innings to extend your day.

Soccer Camp - For ages 7-12.

Lacrosse Camp - For ages 8-12. Equipment is provided.

Girls Lacrosse Camp - For ages 7-12. Lacrosse sticks are provided or bring your own.

Flag Football Camp For ages 8-12.

Fitness Camp For ages 8-13.

Basketball Camp For ages 7-12.

Tennis Camp For ages 8-13. Racquets are provided or you can bring your own.

Sabre Fencing Camp Sabre fencing skills are introduced with skill practice and technique instruction provided by Oregon Fencing Alliance. For ages 7-14. All equipment provided. Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m.-noon only.

Half Day Arts & Science Camps
at Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center

Acrylic Painting Camp

Learn acrylic painting techniques, material and tools. We will experiment with various acrylic mediums to create luscious, gritty and creamy surfaces. Learn techniques of modern masters including glazing, impasto and dry brush. Class encourages skill building and self-expression. For ages 10-15.

Days: Monday-Friday

Book Illustration, Creative Writing & Book Binding

Have a blast illustrating, writing and binding your very own book. You'll learn illustration techniques and creative writing tips. On the last day of class, you'll take home a finished book you can show off to friends and family. For ages 11-16.

Time: 1 p.m.- 4 p.m.
Days: Monday-Friday


Lord of Your Rings

Create your very own magical play. Learn improvisational skills, stage presence and timing. We'll play drama games to build listening skills and imagination. You'll write your own scripts, make stage props and perform it on the last day of class. For ages 8-12.

Modern Arts Camp

Come explore drip, spray and stain techniques. Find out how many different ways you can paint without using a bruch & create a masterpiece. For ages 9-15.
