• Sat Nov 02 at 8:30 AM - Friendship Taekwondo Tournament

  Entry level tournament designed for those new to taekwondo competition.

  There will be three events available: Poomsae (forms), board breaking, and sparring.

  Sparring is NO head contact with minimal gear; chest protector and mouthguard required. Poomsae (forms) judged on basics. Board breaking judged on breaking first hit and kihap.

  Divisions will be created based on age and belt rank. Medals will be awarded.

  Join us for Beaverton's 2024 Joyous Kwanzaa Celebration, a partnership with Beaverton Black Parent Union (BBPU). This is a time for communities to come together to remember the past and to embrace African American traditions of food, music, love, and unity. Bring your family and friends for this joyous community event!

  Kwanzaa is an annual celebration of African-American culture from December 26 to January 1, culminating in a communal feast called Karamu, usually on the sixth day. It was created by activist Maulana Karenga, based on African harvest festival traditions from various parts of West and Southeast Africa

  Únase a nosotros para la Celebración Jubilosa de Kwanzaa 2024 en Beaverton, una colaboración con Beaverton Black Parent Union (BBPU).   Volunteer at this fun, family-oriented event! Provide assistance setting up for the event, greeting event attendees, assisting with crafts and games, and cleaning up after the event. Please bring a reusable water bottle to drink from throughout your shift.
